Charges dropped against man after seizure of marijuana, Oxycodone

HALIFAX – One man was facing charges after a police executed a drug seizure in Waverley on Monday night.

Investigators, acting on information, say they arrested a man walking in the 600 block of Portland Street at 7:40 p.m. on Monday evening. The man was said by police to be found to be in possession of a significant quantity of marijuana with a street value of $210,000.

After the arrest, the investigators executed a search warrant of a residence on Andrew Lynn Avenue in Waverley just after 9 p.m. on Monday. Police say they seized marijuana and Oxycodone tablets, as well as drug paraphernalia and ammunition.

35-year-old Kendall Andrew Fralick of Waverley was charged with possession with the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of marijuana.

In 2018 however, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) said all charges against Fralick were dropped following what the PPSC says was “a finding of a Charter breach and the exclusion of evidence.”
