EDMONTON – One person suffered serious injures in a collision in central Alberta Monday morning.
RCMP said a westbound vehicle collided head on with an eastbound semi on Highway 11 and Range Road 234, which is east of Red Deer.

The crash happened around 6:00 a.m.
The female driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance in serious condition.
The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.
The highway was closed for a period of time before reopening later Monday morning.
