REGINA – The Law Society of Saskatchewan has ruled that a Regina lawyer who admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from her clients must wait four years before reapplying to practise.

Pauline Duncan Bonneau applied to resign her membership from the Law Society of Saskatchewan this year — the equivalent of disbarment — instead of going through a hearing.

She had argued that she should only have to wait one year.

Bonneau has paid the money back.
