Vaudreuil-Dorion boil water advisory: what you need to know

VAUDREUIL-DORION – A boil water advisory has been issued for the Dorion sector of Vaudreuil-Dorion after a water main break.

Residents have to boil tap water for at least one minute before using it for the following:

  • Drinking and preparing beverages
  • Preparing bottles and baby food
  • Washing and preparing raw food like fruits and vegetables
  • Preparing food that does not require prolonged cooking (soups, desserts)
  • Making ice cubes
  • Brushing teeth or gargling

Any recently prepared food or drink should also be thrown out.

Residents can use the water without boiling it to:

  • Take a shower or bath (make sure children don’t drink the water)
  • Wash dishes or clothes with hot water

The advisory has been issued “until further notice.”
