REGINA – Three people, including a youth, are facing a string of charges after marijuana, a sawed-off rifle and canisters of bear spray were found during a traffic stop Friday afternoon.
At around 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Winnipeg St. During the stop officers uncovered more than 700 grams of marijuana, a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle, four loaded magazines, two canisters of bear spray and a pair of brass knuckles.
Three people – a 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy – are now facing numerous charges relating to trafficking and weapon possession. The 19-year-old man faces one additional charge of resisting arrest.
All three of the accused are scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
