WINNIPEG -The injuries sustained by eight people from a four-vehicle crash near Bird’s Hill Provincial Park are not life threatening, according to RCMP.
A car that was driving southbound in the northbound lane caused the major collision.
RCMP say all eight of the occupants were taken to hospital and that everyone used seat belts.
Highway 59 at the Garven Road turn off was blocked off from about 3:00 p.m. Saturday, causing long traffic delays as emergency crews arrived on scene.
A detour was in effect for the northbound lane as emergency crews were in the area for hours.
Alcohol is a factor in the crash according to RCMP. The investigation is ongoing.
