WINNIPEG – Skies are looking more yellow than blue for many Manitobans this weekend.

Environment Canada said the smoke outside is coming from the fires in Washington that moved to Saskatchewan and now into Manitoba.

The haze is expected to continue all weekend and if the fires continue, the haze could last until next week.

Western Manitoba is a high risk area according to Environment Canada and the smoke could cause temporary irritation to the eyes and throat as well as shortness of breath.
