Mounties searching for suspects in North Vancouver attempted abduction

Mounties have issued a warning following an attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl in North Vancouver on Aug. 6.

The teen was approached by a man who told her she was beautiful and then pulled her by the hand toward a waiting car, where another man was in the driver’s seat. The girl managed to get away before getting pulled into the car.

Police are asking for help identifying two men associated with the alleged abduction attempt; which happened around 1:45 p.m. in the 900-block of Marine Drive.

The first suspect is described as a black male, about 40 years old with a bulky build and large shoulders. He’s approximately 6′ tall and was wearing all dark clothing. The second suspect is described as a black male.

The vehicle involved is a 1990s black sedan, similar to a Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla.
