Crews responded to a brush fire in Surrey Monday afternoon.
Nine fire trucks and 17 personnel battled the blaze in a blueberry field near the 15600-block of 48 Ave. along the Serpentine River.
Steve Zecchel of the Surrey Fire Service said crews managed to extinguish the two-acre fire by about 9 p.m.
The location of the fire made it challenging for crews to access and fight. There was no water access in the area, so they had to rely on tankers to transport water to the site of the blaze.
Zecchel said they have not determined the cause of the fire.
