TORONTO — Man buns have taken over “the happiest place on Earth,” at least according to the Instagram account du jour: @manbunsofdisneyland.
If you’re not familiar with the man bun, Urban Dictionary defines it as: “A questionably sexy hairstyle in which a man with hair of the medium to long (and usually greasy) variety secures said hair into a firmly rounded bun.”

In a survey earlier this year, nearly 63 per cent of American women said they “either dislike or outright hate the man bun. A full 58 per cent wouldn’t date a guy who wore his hair in a bun, and 74 per cent don’t think their current or former significant other would look attractive if he grew out his hair and put it up in a ball on top of his head.”
So what makes the Disneyland man buns so magical? Perhaps it’s the fact that they’re often paired with some pretty adorable “accessories.”

Kids are also getting indoctrinated to the man bun.

Of course the trend is not just limited to Disneyland.

Even some poor dogs have had to endure them.

Their origins, though, may date back as far as the third century, when the terracotta soldiers sported them.
