REGINA – If you’re tired of hearing how you should eat your greens you can do some good by eating pink food.
Until Saturday in Regina, six local restaurants and bakeries are teaming up with the CIBC Run for the Cure for Pinkalicious. Each of the eating establishments are preparing special pink items to treat your taste buds.
CIBC Run for the Cure spokesperson Aimee Pascua says the main goal is to help raise awareness for the upcoming run.
“It’s mainly to fund research across the breast cancer spectrum; so prevention, disease, and treatment. It’s great to get people involved in that may.I think everybody knows at least on person who’s affected by the disease.”
Restaurants taking part include the following:
- Fresh and Sweet
- Sprout
- Kim and Ashlee’s Sweet Ambrosia Bakeshoppe
- Beer Bros. Gastropub and Deli
- Table 10 Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge
- Crave Kitchen + Wine Bar
A portion of everything that’s sold will go toward the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
The CIBC Run for the Cure takes place on Sunday, October 4th.
