Lethbridge Bulls finish dream season with WMBL title

Lethbridge Bulls players celebrate winning WMBL title.

The Lethbridge Bulls looked like a team of destiny this year. Cruising through the regular season with relative ease, the team finished with 34 wins en route to the best record in the league.

When it came time for playoffs, there was no slowing the Bulls down. The squad finished a perfect 9-0 in the postseason, including a championship sweep over the Regina Red Sox, claiming the franchise’s first Western Major Baseball League title.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“It’s definitely a great feeling,” said Bulls Head Coach Ryan MacDonald. “We just found a way to battle it out, and it was pretty special what this team did this year to win nine in a row in the playoffs is something special.”

The Bulls returned from Regina a tired bunch, but with a coveted trophy in-hand.  Along the way, memories were made that will last a lifetime, made possible by one singular focus.
