Northern Alberta shooting death deemed homicide: RCMP

CALGARY – The shooting death of a 19-year-old man in Conklin, Alta. has been deemed a homicide, RCMP said Friday.

Wood Buffalo RCMP said officers found the man’s body around 2 a.m. Tuesday when they responded to a call about gunfire at a home in Conklin, about 350 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.

RCMP did not release the man’s name, but said he’s from northern Alberta. The investigation is ongoing.
