Woman’s body found in Saint John River, north of Florenceville-Bristol

CLEARVIEW, N.B. – RCMP is investigating after the body of a woman was discovered in the Saint John River in Clearview, about 20 kilometres north of Florenceville-Bristol.

Police say they received a call Wednesday morning that a body was floating in the river.

In a release, RCMP say they are unsure how long the body was in the river but that it doesn’t appear the death was recent.

An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the age and identity of the women as well as the cause of death.

The investigation is continuing.
