CALGARY – While many are spending the long weekend at their favourite out-of-town escape, Slide the City is also a tempting destination given the sizzling temperatures.
The massive 300 metre slip n’ slide closed down 10th Street south of 16 Avenue Northwest throughout the weekend, starting first thing Saturday morning.
There had been some talk about the event being oversold, but sliders at the event told Global News everything seemed to be running quite smoothly.
Slide the City continues Sunday.
