EDMONTON – A 23-year-old man is dead after the vehicle he was in hit a train near the hamlet of Reno, Alberta.
It happened around noon on Friday.
Peace Regional RCMP say the vehicle was heading east on Township Road 810 when it collided with a train heading north.
Fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead. He was the only person in the vehicle.
Traffic in the area was disrupted for about four hours.
RCMP are still investigating the death and are not releasing the name of the man killed.
