UPDATE: All advisories mentioned in this story have ended
Environment Canada has ended a tornado warning for the southeast corner of Saskatchewan. A developing low pressure system in the United States is expected to move into the province this afternoon.
The agency says conditions will become increasingly favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce damaging winds, large hail and intense rainfall.
Meteorologists were tracking a storm near Carlyle that had the potential to produce a tornado. With the help of trained observers on site, Environment Canada confirmed Sunday that no tornado touched down in the province.
In the event of a tornado or tornado warning, Environment Canada recommends people take the following actions: Seek shelter on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, stay away from outside walls and windows. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
To report severe weather, call 1-800-239-0484.
