Police release identity of fatal stabbing victim in Pickering

WATCH: A manhunt is underway after a deadly stabbing in Pickering claimed the life of one man on July 2, 2015.

TORONTO – Durham Regional Police have released the name of a man fatally stabbed in Pickering early Thursday morning.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Dionecio “Deshane” Nelson of Brampton.

Police say the man was leaving a party in the area of Glenanna Rd. and Huntsmill Dr. around 2:30 a.m. when he was found stabbed.

He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and was later pronounced dead.

Police say they are exploring the possibility that this was a random encounter and that he did not know the suspects.

Investigators are looking for two people who fled the area in a 2002 to 2008 silver four-door Honda Civic.

Both suspects are described as in their early 20s, between 5’7″ and 6’2″ tall, with an afro hairstyle.
