Another bomb threat against a WestJet flight has been discredited.

Thursday night WestJet confirmed WS1709 from Las Vegas to Victoria had landed safely after receiving a threat.

“Earlier today the RCMP responded to what has now been determined a non-credible threat involving a WestJet flight from Las Vegas to Victoria International Airport,” said Brie Thorsteinson Ogle in a statement.

“The aircraft and all baggage was screened on arrival out of an abundance of caution.”

The company said the RCMP is investigating.

“The RCMP has now launched an investigation into this case of criminal mischief and will liaise with other jurisdictions as necessary,” said Ogle.

This is the fifth threat the company has received in a week. All the threats were deemed false, and police across the country are investigating.
