Body of Michael O’Keefe found in South Saskatchewan River

SASKATOON – There has been a sad ending to a missing person case in Saskatoon. Mounties confirmed Thursday human remains found on a South Saskatchewan River sandbar on June 27 are those of Michael O’Keefe.

O’Keefe, 80, was reported missing on May 14, 2014 from his residence on Pinehouse Drive.

He had last been seen that afternoon near the Berry Barn on Valley Road. He was also spotted in the area by witnesses and personal effects found near the river bank were confirmed to be O’Keefe’s.
