“We did not locate the tire iron at the crime scene itself, so we’re assuming that the suspect still has it,” Seal Beach Police Sgt. Philip Gonshak told KTLA 5 News.

The victim said he did not know the man who attacked him or what his motives may have been, leading police to suspect it may have been an attempted robbery or carjacking gone wrong.

The suspect was described as an adult male Hispanic, with a thin build and a dark complexion.

He was 5 foot 11 inches tall, clean shaven and was wearing black tennis shoes, with white knee high socks and long khaki shorts.
