RCMP is investigating an incident involving a male stabbing victim dropped off at a Surrey hospital last night.
Mounties were called at about 11:20 p.m. last night when a 29-year-old man, who is known to police, was reported to be in critical condition with a wound to his abdomen.
The victim is not cooperating with police but surveillance video gathered from the hospital show him being dropped off by a grey or green Ford F150 pickup truck. The license plate was not visible and the driver did not stay to talk to police.
“The unwillingness of this victim to cooperate with police certainly impacts our investigation,” says Cpl. Scotty Schumann.
“Nevertheless, we will continue to investigate this matter thoroughly in an effort to find the suspect and hold them to account.”
Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers.
