Former priest and teacher charged in decades old indecent assault

A former Saskatoon priest and teacher has been charged after two separate incidents decades ago.

William Hodgson Marshall, 89, is facing two counts of indecent assault that are alleged to have occurred between January 1, 1959 and December 31, 1960.

The two victims, now 66, were 14-years-old at the time of the alleged assaults.

Marshall was a priest and teacher from 1958 to 1961 at St. Paul’s High School in the 400-block 22nd Street East.

The school closed in 1967 and is now the site of the Federated Cooperatives building.

Marshall is currently in custody in Kingston, Ontario, serving a two-year sentence after pleading guilty last June to 17 counts of sexual assault while teaching in Ontario.

The Crown Prosecutor’s office is currently arranging the details for a court appearance to take place in Ontario on the new charges.
