POINTE-CLAIRE – Canada Day celebrations that were planned for July 1 in Pointe-Claire have been cancelled with the exception of the Citizenship Court ceremony.

The ceremony will be held at Stewart Hall from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The city cites a very wet weather forecast for its decision.

Dorval for its part has postponed July 1 festivities until the next day.

All activities will be held in Millenium Park  on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The city of Beaconsfield has also announced a change of venues.

Activities in that city will take place July 1, at the Recreation Centre located at 1974 City Lane.

Fireworks planned for the evening are postponed until July 10.

Montrealers are being advised to consult their city’s website before heading out to celebrate.
