Surrey RCMP hoping to identify targets of recent shooting

Do you recognize either of these men?. Surrey RCMP Handout

Surrey RCMP are looking for two men who were the intended targets of a shooting that happened on June 8.

Police received reports of multiple shots fired at around 9 p.m. in a parking lot in the 7200 block of 120th Street in Surrey.

Mounties spoke to witnesses at the time and believe the suspect vehicle, which fled the scene following the shooting, may have been a silver SUV. The targets of the shooting were two men who were eating at a nearby restaurant. The men fled the area in a blue vehicle before police arrived and have not reported it to the authorities.

RCMP are now releasing photos of the men in the hopes they may be identified. Investigators believe they know the identity of one of the victims. However, that person denies any involvement.

“We were hoping that the victims, at the very least, would have come forward,” says Sgt. Dale Carr in a release. “Without the cooperation of these two victims it makes our job that much harder in identifying the suspects. We are doing everything we can to solve these shootings but we need the help of the victims and any witnesses to further the investigation.”
