MONTREAL – The Loft Hotel played host to the city’s inaugural Natural Hair Congress on Saturday.
The congress, presented by Inhairitance salon boutique, is dedicated to the care and beauty of curly, kinky, wavy or locked hair.
Those with curly hair know that it’s not always easy to tame those tresses.
The event featured conferences, panels, workshops and vendors all catering to those with curly hair.

There was even a hair show and a live hairstyling competition.
Abisara Machold, owner of Inhairitance and founder of the Natural Hair Congress, says that beyond aesthtics, she hopes the conference will allow an exchange on the “socio-political aspects of wearing our naturally curly and kinky hair.”
