WINNIPEG – Construction will begin next week at a new school site in Sage Creek.
The provincial government announced Wednesday it hopes to open the 74,940-square-foot school in September 2016, but it will be open in January 2017 at the latest.

The $25-million building will hold kindergarten to Grade 8 English and French immersion.
It was originally slated to accommodate about 400 students but Premier Greg Selinger said growth in the community means they’ve had to adjust plans to about 600 students.
When plans for the school were announced in April 2013, politicians said construction would begin in 2014 for a 2016 opening.
