“Sina was a wonderful man, he was caring, he was the love of my life, he was my best friend,” she said.

“He was everything to me, he had a very great sense of humour and I miss him so, so, so much.”

Roya Parsi’s lawyer, Geoffrey Pollock, said Sina was “the love of Roya’s life” and that they were married almost five years, adding that a funeral for him took place on Saturday.

“What was particularly difficult is that this was the day before Father’s Day, burying Sina one day before Father’s Day was so challenging,” he said.

“Sina was a wonderful man, he was an entrepreneur he had come to this country at age 18 and established his own business, his own construction firm and was doing exceptionally well.”

Pollock said Sina was living “the Canadian dream” with his wife before his life was “tragically cut short.”

Pollock said Parsi’s family would be announcing the establishment of a fund in his name in the coming days.

Roya Parsi said it was “very hard” for her to talk about her husband and wanted to thank Niagara Regional Police and York Regional Police for their help in apprehending the suspects.

“After two weeks of being worried and so frustrated, I think that’s very good news,” she said of the arrests.

“I have to thank all of the hard work that police did for us, it means a lot to me.”

Parsi, 32, went missing on June 9 after leaving a soccer game. His body was found on June 12 in a Toronto apartment near Jane St. and St. Clair Ave. W. Police would not elaborate on cause of death, other than to say it was “violent.

Police released surveillance footage of the couple during a press conference on Monday, which shows the two suspects walking with Parsi on Jane St. just after midnight on June 10. Patterson said the suspects left the building at 4:10 a.m., with Parsi’s body allegedly left inside

Police said last week that a large-breed dog belonging to the suspects was found abandoned in Toronto. While officials didn’t specify when the dog was found, a release said it was believed the two had “been travelling without the dog since the early morning hours of Saturday, June 13, 2015.”
