Watch above: Woman stabbed multiple times, neighbour apprehends suspect in Saskatoon home invasion. Calvin To reports.
SASKATOON – A woman is in hospital recovering from stab wounds after a home invasion in Saskatoon. It happened just before 8 a.m. Friday in the 600-block of Lisgar Avenue when police were called to a break and enter in progress.
Police say a man unlawfully entered the home, stabbed a woman multiple times and then fled.
He was chased by a neighbour who told Global News that he hit the suspect in the head and arm with a bat. He was then held in the alley until police arrived.
Both the victim and suspect were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the victim and suspect are known to each other and the stabbing does not appear to be a random attack.
