HALIFAX – Halifax-area RCMP have laid several charges against a 19-year-old man and a female youth in connection with a kidnapping.
Police say a 25-year-old woman was leaving a store in Porters Lake on Monday when two armed men forced her into her vehicle.
The woman was ordered to drive to a home in West Chezzetcook, where police say the suspects tried to enter, but couldn’t get inside the residence.
Police say the pair then left the scene in the woman’s car, which was later found behind a grocery store in Porters Lake.
Javon Dominick Steed of Dartmouth is facing several charges including kidnapping, assault and assault with a weapon.
A female youth from Dartmouth is facing charges of robbery, kidnapping and unauthorized possession of a weapon in a vehicle.
