WINNIPEG – A Manitoba jail guard has been charged with impaired driving, RCMP said Wednesday.
Mounties responded to a report late Friday night of a collision on Park Street in Beausejour. An SUV had collided with two parked car; the driver of the SUV was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
“After speaking with the driver, it was apparent to RCMP officers that he was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest,” RCMP said in a news release Wednesday. Officers say the suspect had twice the legal limit of blood alcohol content.
Neil Kronberg, 40, is facing charges. Kronberg is a Corrections Officer at Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, police said.

It’s the second time in as many days that RCMP announced drunk driving charges against a member of Manitoba’s justice system. The Mounties said late Tuesday that a Winnipeg police officer was arrested June 1st in Kilcona Park and charged with impaired driving offenses.

Comments
