WINNIPEG — Manitoba has introduced a law which would crack down on those who distribute intimate photos without consent.
Attorney General Gord Mackintosh told the legislature the law would allow those victimized by the distribution of intimate photos to sue for damages.

The province would also partner with the Canadian Centre for Child Protection to establish a tipline.
Mackintosh says the tipline would help get intimate images down from the Internet and link victims with support.
Experts have said they are seeing an alarming increase in teens who share sexual images of themselves through live web chats and are then extorted for money.
The federal government recently changed the Criminal Code to make it illegal to distribute intimate images without consent.
