University of Saskatchewan student dies in Australia

SASKATOON – A University of Saskatchewan student has died in Australia. Nigel Weir, 21, was a student at the College of Kinesiology.

He was in Brisbane where he was an exchange student studying human movement at the University of Queensland.

According to media reports, Weir fell off a balcony on June 5 and died.

A statement released by the university said students, faculty and staff at the college are deeply saddened by the news.
