During a show in Manchester, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl invited an 8-year-old boy to join the band onstage to sing their 2002 single “Times Like These”.

The band was actually in the middle of the performance when Grohl stopped to tell the audience he saw a little kid singing along to the song. He immediately invited the boy onstage by saying: “Come here motherf***er. You better bring your dad with you too. Oh yeah, bring your mama. I ain’t taking care of you that’s for *odda*n sure!” But in the nicest way possible of course.

After a bit of smalltalk on stage, everyone at the show finds out that the 8-year-old is named Frankie. Dave then informs everyone on what is about to go down:

“Okay, here’s what’s going to happen. I’m going to sing this verse and then you can sing the next part with me okay? You know how to sing?” Frankie shakes his head. “Me neither,” Dave replies.
