On February 17 an account at The Brick was opened in the victim’s name, using stolen ID. The suspect ordered several thousand dollars in items.

The next day, at the store’s Calgary distribution centre, the man picked up his purchases, loading them into a U-Haul before driving away.

The victim in Red Deer learned about the fraud after the fact when he received an invoice from The Brick.
