TORONTO — Sexually-adventurous travellers — or those simply craving their own 50 Shades of Grey experience — now have a new place to hunt for accommodations: KinkBNB (think Airbnb but with sex dungeons).
The site, which just launched this month, describes itself as a “sex-positive home-sharing community.” So along with your standard amenities like Internet and AC, you can also search for a place that’s orgy and/or swinger-friendly, plus comes equipped with BDSM furniture and sex toys.

At Canada’s first listing, located on Vancouver Island, you’ll find: “a custom spanking bench, a St. Andrew’s Cross, naughty sex swing and a professional massage table.”
It gets a little less “vanilla” from there. Among the 30 listings on the site is 50 Shades Dallas, where there are suspension and kennel theme rooms, as well as bondage beds with cages underneath. And an office/CEO role play room for good measure.
You can also opt to get locked in the prison cell of a German dungeon. “Whatever you do in there is your business,” the listing reads.
La Domaine Esemar in upstate New York ups the ante with “a human roast spit.” Your dining experience there will feature “a serving slave and a kitchen wench helping with your meal.” The $375/night Bed and Dungeon boasts that it’s the “world’s oldest, and many say finest, BDSM training chateau. Since 1993, over 500 couples have visited.”
If that has you feeling a little queasy from a sanitation perspective, KinkBNB co-founder Ryan Galiotto stresses that cleanliness is a huge part of the fetish community. One place even offers hospital-grade cleaner.
The 43-year-old explains he got the idea to start the San Francisco-based company after his friend had her home-share listing removed from a popular site after posting photos of her sex dungeon. He hopes his site will help fill a void for the sex-positive community.
“We’re offering an opportunity for people to travel and meet people that are already on the same page. You don’t need to hide a part of yourself.”
Of course, like with any online market place, there are risks. Liability-wise, since the site is just starting out, Galiotto admits he doesn’t assume any responsibility for what may happen — unlike Airbnb which has a $1 million host guarantee that covers a host’s property in the rare event of damages.
That policy came in handy last month when police say “a drug-induced orgy,” left a Calgary home completely destroyed.
