Pro tip: Stop recording videos while holding your smartphone in the portrait orientation – it looks terrible.

If you turn your phone sideways – preferably with the home button on the right hand side – the video will display properly when uploaded to social networks and sites like YouTube. If you do it this way, you won’t see those big black bars of wasted space on either side of your video.
