3 suspicious vehicle fires under investigation by EPS Arson Unit

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Police Service’s Arson Unit is investigating three suspicious vehicle fires that took place over the span of two days.

Just before noon Friday, police responded to a vehicle fire behind a business in the area of 91 Street near Anthony Henday Drive.

Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a vehicle fire at 86 Street and Edwards Drive.

One hour later, police were called to the area of 70 Street and 12 Avenue SW for a third suspicious vehicle fire.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe all three fires were deliberately set. Anyone with information is asked to call the EPS non-emergency complaint line at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
