MONTREAL – Hundreds gathered at Lafontaine Park Saturday for what organizers called a silent dance party.
The Turtle Krew, who put on the event, made two different playlists available for download and invited revelers to bring their iPods, MP3 players, or cell phones to the park.
Dancing started at 4:00 p.m. sharp with party-goers hitting the play button on their devices.
Organizers had extra headphones on hand for those who wanted to join in, and encouraged people to bring their splitters so they could share the music with new friends.
The group is expected to silently boogie its way to Mount Royal, with pit stops in city parks along the way.
