Men allegedly brandished gun while panhandling in downtown Toronto

Toronto police say two men are facing charges after a panhandler allegedly brandished a handgun.

Police say passersby reported the men showed the gun while approaching people near Union Station in downtown Toronto on Tuesday morning.

Investigators say people approached a paid-duty officer who located two men and arrested them.

Police say an imitation firearm was seized.

Two men, Ryan O’Campo, 29, of Toronto, and Kuganesan Wijayarathnam, 22, of no fixed address, are charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace.
