Saskatoon police arrest high risk offender after 3 indecent exposures

SASKATOON – A high-risk sex offender believed to be responsible for at least three indecent exposures in Saskatoon has been arrested. James McKnight, 35, was taken into custody by police last Thursday.

Police believe the man was responsible for indecent exposures on three separate dates: April 21 in the area of Eastlake Avenue and 2nd Street East; April 23rd in the 900-block of Gray Avenue; and May 8 in the 100-block of Coldspring Crescent.

He was spotted by police on May 14 in the 500-block of Rogers Road. He was also found to be in breach of court conditions.

He appeared in provincial court Tuesday morning.

McKnight has a history of exposing himself to children. Prior to his arrest, he was prohibited from attending a public park or swimming pool, working with youth or using a computer to communicate with anyone under 16 years of age.

Conditions set out by provincial court were to be adhered to until June 10, 2021.
