A University of South Carolina student is facing jail time after a hidden camera allegedly shows her spitting and pouring glass cleaning fluid into her roommates’ food.

Video recorded on Feb. 4 appears to show Haley King, 22, taking food belonging to her two roommates from a refrigerator at an off-campus apartment and then spitting and pouring a blue liquid into the containers, a local NBC affiliate reports.

Columbia Police arrested King on Feb. 9 after her roommates showed investigators the video. According to a police report, the roommates and King had “multiple altercations” in the weeks leading up to the incident. The roommates set up secret cameras because they were worried about what King might do following a string of arguments.

One of the roommates told authorities she ate out of one of the containers before seeing the video.

Police contacted King after reviewing the video where she allegedly confessed to the incident.

King has been charged with unlawful, malicious tampering with human drug product or food, a felony, that carries a term of up to 20 years in prison, if convicted.

According to court records she was released a day after her arrest on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
