WATCH:  Crime Stoppers needs your help to bring Yashpal Mehay home

Yashpal Mehay, 46, vanished while on a routine business trip nearly six years ago. The loving father and husband had no criminal associations or reasons to leave his family.

Crime Stoppers is now asking for the public’s help in bringing him home.

Mehay lived with his wife and two sons in Surrey. On July 14, 2009, he was on his way to Clinton, B.C. where he operated a gas station at 1318 Cariboo Highway.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

He never arrived at the Petro-Canada station. He was familiar with the route since it was a journey he made every other week to bring supplies.

The day he disappeared surveillance video at the Abbotsford Costco shows him buying cigarettes for the gas station. He was wearing a green-and-white striped American Eagle shirt and khaki pants. His last known location is the Staples store in Chilliwack.
