Child care has long been a hot topic among parents – and politicians. Parents are often forced to choose between careers and paying often steep prices for quality child care. In some provinces – like Quebec – childcare is subsidized for the government. At 7:15am we’ll tell you about a new study released by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives that suggests Nova Scotia should consider doing the same – in order to help the economy.

At 7:45 we’ll be joined by camping expert Cliff Pratt of Mountain Equipment Co-op to show us some new products for 2015 and give us some tips on making the most of family camping trips!

At 8:15am we’ll meet some local shop owners taking “Local” to a whole new level. Joel Kelly and Mark Smith are the owners of Made in the Maritimes Artisan Boutique, an all-local store located in the Sunnyside Mall in Bedford. The guys will stop by with a sneak peek at some of the finds up for grabs in their store.
