Report of shots fired in Surrey

WATCH: Less than 12 hours after Christy Clark addressed recent violence in Surrey, there was another shooting. Grace Ke reports.

Police in Surrey are investigating another report of shots fired.

It happened at approximately 10:25 p.m. last night in the area of 88th Ave and 134B St.

Officers attended and found evidence consistent with shots being fired in that area. Additional evidence was found a short distance away.

Checks of the surrounding residences and cars along and near the roadway failed to locate anything that had been hit by a bullet.

Police spoke with a number of people in the area, but no one reported seeing or hearing any vehicles in the area at the time the shots were heard, nor seeing the shots being fired.

No one appears to have been injured.

Investigators are canvassing the area.

Anyone who may have seen cars or people fleeing from the area at the time the shots were fired is asked to call the Surrey R.C.M.P. at 604-599-0502 or to call Crime Stoppers.

Just yesterday morning, Surrey RCMP were dealing with a report of shots fired near 94A Avenue and 124 Street. Simultaneously, a man arrived at Surrey Memorial Hospital with stab wounds to his upper body. Police say they will be looking into whether the two incidents are related to one another and to the recent Surrey shootings.
