SASKATOON – Welcome back to another year of me eating stuff and then telling you about how good or gross I feel afterward! Since we’re dealing with burgers, there’s a good chance we’re filed under “gross” for a lot of these, but it’s gross in a good way, and I, for one, am stoked about it.

The most crucial question that I keep getting asked is about “how do I judge?  Every burger is different.”

For the purposes of this challenge, I’m going to option off to either have the basic hamburger, or whatever the premium is at a given location – either au naturelle, or all-in.

Of the two I’ve tried out leading up to this write-up, I think the pattern leans toward the premies. They’ll then be judged primarily on texture (mouth-feel) and size; after all, there is such a thing as a burger being too big (but it’s a wide-ranging threshold).

As far as location’s concerned, how it ties into the burger is less important than last year – when it was wings, dark rooms meant “my face is less embarrassingly noticeable covered in sauce” – for burgers, it’s not the same problem!
