REGINA – Global Regina took home three awards – including best newscast – at the Radio Television and Digital News Directors Association (RTDNA) Prairie regional awards in Saskatoon on Saturday.

The Bert Cannings Award for Best TV Newscast (Medium Market) was presented to the station for it’s work on the December 3, 2014 edition of the Evening News.

The station was also presented with the Dave Rogers Award for TV Long Feature (Small/Medium Market) for the Focus Saskatchewan story “Heroes & Builders,” which explored the story of some of Saskatchewan’s hockey pioneers – larger than life characters that helped shape the game on and off the ice.

Global Regina also received the Dave Rogers Award for TV Short Feature (Small/Medium Market) for “Splash Hazards” – a lighthearted and visually creative look at the challenges and consequences that come with navigating puddles in the spring.
