A new ad for the Pan Am Games shows athletes preparing to take the field – and fans doing the same.

The ad, put out by the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation, features a pumping soundtrack and shots of Toronto’s skyline, as fans carefully apply face paint in the colours of various nations.

This is the second installment in a series of ads designed to drum up support for the upcoming games and to attract tourists to the city.

They may be working – according to the numbers released by the Pan Am Games on April 16, 350,000 tickets have been sold. As of Monday, there were no tickets available online for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies or for the men’s soccer final. Many baseball events also had no tickets left.

However, as tickets tend to be released in waves, it may still be possible to get into these events if another block is released for sale at a later date.

A spokesperson for the Games could not tell Global News what percentage of total tickets the 350,000 represented or the total number of available seats, though a Toronto Star article suggested that there may be roughly 900,000 tickets in total.

The 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games start July 10.

Update April 28, 2015: A spokesperson for the Pan Am Games has confirmed for Global News that a total of 1.4 million tickets will be made available. So, 350,000 tickets sold so far represents 25 per cent of the total.
