CONCACAF Champions League: 2,000 additional tickets to go on sale

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that an additional 2,000 tickets will go on sale Monday at noon for the much coveted Champions League finals at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday night.

Montreal needs a scoreless draw or a win in the second leg, against Mexican team Club América to become the first Canadian team to win the CONCACAF tournament and the first non-Mexicain team to win since Costa Rica’s Saprissa in 2005.

Over 59 thousand tickets have already been sold. Organizers are hoping to shatter records with the additional tickets.

“These tickets could enable us to make history in welcoming the largest crowd int he history of the club, but also by surpassing the attendance from Estadio Azteca last Wednesday,” said Richard Legendre, Executive Vice-President for the Impact.

Tickets go on sale on Monday at noon via ticketmaster.ca and the Impact sales office, with priority given to season ticket holders.
