Bus hits hydro pole, gets stuck underneath overpass on Weston Rd.

TORONTO – The southbound lanes of Weston Rd. are closed to traffic at Sheppard Ave. after a coach bus struck a hydro pole and ended up wedged underneath an overpass at Albion Rd. Monday morning.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. near the Albion Rd. overpass in west-end Toronto.

The driver of the vehicle was temporarily trapped but was rescued by emergency crews.

City engineers have been called to the scene to ensure the safety of the overpass.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Albion Rd. at Weston Rd. are also closed to traffic.
